Residencies are how things happen here. They’re not launches or seasons — they’re stretches of time where work is made, lived with, and left out long enough to start misbehaving. Objects arrive without a schedule. Some stay briefly. Others hang around, collecting marks, side glances, and a bit of heat. Ideas return in different clothes. Materials remember where they’ve been.

Each residency gathers what’s been circling — paintings, drawings, objects, and passing thoughts — and lets them sit together until something clicks. When it moves on, it leaves a trace. Nothing here is meant to be rushed. Consider this your permission to linger.

  • Skin Contact

The department’s first residency focuses on moments that sit just before or just after touch. The works linger on closeness — bodies mid-gesture, clothing loosened, attention held for a beat longer than expected. Nothing is fully revealed or resolved, and nothing asks for attention, but it all tends to linger.
